If you look at the stats compiled by yzemaze, based on several thousands of games on boiteajeux.net, the first player in 2-player game wins 51% of the time.So I guess you could say there's an advantage, but it's fairly small... much smaller than the randomness produced by drawing boards in the 'expert' version...
