I got this over Christmas and have successfully introduced it to my friends. Here are two things that, for me, really helped things go smoothly.

1. The setup. Forget baggies. Use the technique for storage that Michael Denman describes in this thread: Re: What are you using to store all the pieces?. It makes it very easy to pull out the tiles you need each time you reset.

2. Player aids. I use this one: The Castles of Burgundy - Essential rules and tile reference (EN) Glue the 2 pages together back to back, make a few of them. Players will definitely be looking at this a lot the first time they play.

And if you have time, a solo run through is not a bad idea. I did it and it got me ready to teach. No need for any special beginner setup, but definitely play with the intro sides of the player boards.
