Would've been easier to read if they had just used the word "hex tile" for six-sided tile. Felt kinda cumbersome to keep reading "six-sided tile" throughout the entire booklet. Or maybe named the tiles something like "building tiles". My 2 cents.
The word “building” is already used to refer specifically to the brown six-sided tiles.
Like you, I find the term “six-sided tile” tedious and lacking in theme, so when I teach the game I use the term “development tile”, or just “development” for short. A building is one of the five types of developments.
I also refer to each group of five rounds as an “era” instead of a “phase”.
