We love CoB, have not yet played the others you ask about. Our current favorite is Bruges because it is pure tactical fun, lighter than others and 2p is about 30 min. Some people don't like it because the card draws can ruin your long term strategy.But Macao is my long time love. It takes a bit to get the hang of it, like CoB does, but is really fun. I love building an economic engine in this game.
Rialto is ok but doesn't linger in my mind. Amerigo we've only played once so I can't really say what I think of it except that I have not been itching to play it again. That happens sometimes with me, though, and repeat plays generally are rewarding.
I have got to get Trajan to the table because the mini games concept really appeals to me.
*We play almost exclusively 2p.
