Hi, so I understand from this thread that if players are tied in points, the first tie-breaker is whoever has the MOST empty spaces on their board. This assumes the "Official" rules are meant to be as specified in the German version, and that the English version of the rules is incorrect due to a translation error.I am looking for clarification about the second tie-breaker (if both players have the same points and the same number of empty spaces). The English version says "the winning player is the tied player who went later in turn order." My questions are:
A) Does anyone know of an official source (Mr. Feld or otherwise) that indicates whether the winner is the one who went later in turn order at the beginning vs at the end of the game? The discussion in this thread leads me to believe it is supposed to be "later in turn order at the end of the game", but I'm not sure. Where does that interpretation come from?
B) Can someone familiar with German and/or French confirm whether the second tie-breaker is worded more clearly in the German and/or French versions of the rules?
This came up during game #36934 on BoiteAJeux.net (an excellent implementation of the game, btw!). In that case, the win was given to the player who went later in turn order at the end of the game (who was the player who went first at the beginning).
Happy gaming!
