Bryan: Why do you think Macao is bad 2p? I think both are solid 2p games and am curious why you hold this opinion. Macao is one of the few games in my collection that I think is very solid as a 2p game.Fernando: On the flip side you have to focus on the pain factor in Trajan and take actions to directly deal with it no matter how good you get. In Macao the pain is avoided while you go about other things. Now that I have experience with Macao I rarely have more than 2 punishment markers and often finish with none. My solid planning lets me avoid the negatives without directly focussing on it(what I mean is I plan to activate a card that gives me an ability which is good in and of itself, yet it also clears a card off my tableau which helps me avoid pain. Likewise I make sure all my cube spots are filled and find useful uses for the cubes I pick so as to avoid negatives there as well. In Trajan I have no choice but to get tiles that meet the demand).
