Saw this game at B&N the other day, didn't know anything about it, so I pulled up the Geek on my phone and lo and behold it's in the top 25. It's gone up since then. Obviously that's a very powerful endorsement; there are many very good games that never crack the top 100.
But, I've also seen games come and go. Die Macher used to be in the top 25. TI:3E used to be #3 overall.
So the question is, is this a game that's popular because it's the new kid in town, or do people think it's got the staying power to be worth a spot on the shelf?

Well, it's been around awhile (relatively speaking) so I wouldn't call it the new kid in town. I definitely think it has staying power....if it's your type of game. It's typical Feld, which is to say that it has some interesting mechanics but very little theme. There are numerous paths to victory, but that's also because most actions score points in some way. The game is about optimization and indirect interaction.
If you like other Feld games, then you'll like this one...
